SIMON PEGG has asked Chris Martin if he can direct a music video for Coldplay.
The Shaun of the Dead star, who is good friends with the Coldplay frontman, and joined the band on stage in London last year, said he has always wanted to direct.
Speaking to GQ magazine, he said: "I'd love to direct some day. Doing a music video would be a great start.
"I've said to Chris a couple of times, if we get some time, I'd love to script a song."
Pegg, who appears in the new Star Trek movie, played harmonica when he appeared with the band in December for a rendition of the song 'Green Eyes'.
He added: "I'll never forget the epiphany of walking out on stage and realising what it is to be in a band – 'Why don't I do this for a living? This is great'."
