Grammy Award winning reggae artist Damian Marley is to headline back-to-back shows this summer at London's indigO2.
Huge demand has led to the scheduling of an additional show on Friday July 27, to accompany his existing performance on Thursday July 26 as part of Respect Jamaica 50 celebrations.
The youngest son of Bob Marley will be delivering his trademark blend of dancehall and reggae to thousands of fans with hits like "Welcome to Jamrock", "As We Enter", "Affairs of the Heart" and "Set Up Shop".
Respect Jamaica 50 will be celebrating 50 years of Jamaican Independence at The O2 and its multiple venues including indigO2, as London is transformed into a Caribbean oasis with over 50 artists taking to the stage.
The two-week extravaganza, from July 25 to August 6, will include a multitude of legendary Jamaican singers, DJs, writers, comedians, actors and poets showcasing the cultural depth and diversity of the nation.
All key Olympic events will be screened at the venues to ensure none of the action is missed, including Jamaica's hotly anticipated gold medal run.
Supported by the Jamaican Government, Respect Jamaica 50 will add a sprinkling of Caribbean flavour to what's set to be a great summer for Jamaica.
