Damon Albarn is worried Blur are not as good as they used to be.
The singer expressed his concern about the band's forthcoming shows in London's Hyde Park - their first time the quartet have worked together since 2003 - while presenting Zane Lowe Takeover on BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday (15.01.09).
Introducing a 10-minute clip of the band's 1997 John Peel session, the frontman said: "This is one of the highlights of being in Blur.
"I'm going to have to work hard to get back to that standard."
Earlier in the show, Damon debuted three tracks from the forthcoming album by his other band, animated group Gorillaz - but the perfectionist star insisted they were still unfinished, despite positive feedback from listeners.
Talking about 'Electric Shock', 'Broken' and 'Binge', Damon said: "I keep changing - it's not finished by any means.
"It's really hard to know when something's done - if I haven't got it right I'll throw it away."
