Damon Albarn has formed a new band called The Good The Bad And The Queen.
The Blur frontman was working on a solo project with Danger Mouse producing, but has now switched his efforts to his new group.
Featuring The Clash's bassist Paul Simonon, former Verve man and auxiliary Blur guitarist Simon Tong and drummer Tony Allen along with Albarn, The Good The Bad And The Queen are set to release their debut single in October, Mojo reports.
Additionally the band are currently working on a full album - a concept record about London - which is due for release in January,
They are set to make their live debut at the BBC's Electric Proms season at revamped Camden venue The Roadhouse this October.
