Damon Albarn has revealed that for a brief time, he was slated to record a collaboration with David Bowie and Ray Davies.
The Blur and Gorillaz frontman is no stranger to working with stars, collaborating with Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Bobby Womack, De La Soul and more.
But there was one collaboration that was only on the cards for a mere twenty-four hours.
He told NME, "I do genuinely like working with people but at the same time I don't expect it to work, and there have been a lot of people who a lot of things don't happen."
Then he revealed, "I mean, for about 24 hours, many years ago, I was making a record with David Bowie and Ray Davies. But that only lasted 24 hours."
One can only imagine what that would've sounded like. His most recent collaboration, with LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and Outkast's Andre 3000 will have to do.
