Blur's Damon Albarn is to give his support to the CND this Thursday (October 7) at a special London event.
The singer follows in the footsteps of Radiohead's Thom Yorke who led the 'No To Star Wars' CND rally outside of the RAF Flyingdales Warning Base in Yorkshire recently (September 25).
Albarn will be DJ-ing alongside Remi Kabaka at the 'Protest And Survive' event in the capital's The Legion, Old Street. The night will launch the 'Countdown To Hiroshima' campaign.
'Countdown to Hiroshima' is a year long campaign in the run up to the 60th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 and the CND aim to raise awareness of the Government's policy on nuclear weapons.
Other guests on the bill of music, film and speeches, include Erol Alkan and Jeremy Corbyn MP.
