Gorillaz and Blur frontman Damon Albarn is set to score a Jude Law-narrated short film.
It's a little disingenuous to call it a Jude Law or Damon Albarn short film, as it's an adaptation of a children's book written by his sister Jessica Albarn.
Ptichfork reports via The Playlist that Damon will write the music for The Boy In The Oak, which tells the story of a boy and an enchanted tree.
The book was released late last year and features dreamy illustrations reminiscent of Brian Froud's classic kids' book Faeries.
Jude Law is set to narrate The Boy In The Oak and ad and film clip director Luke Losey (who has worked with Mercury Rev and Orbital) will direct.
The film will be released in the latter half of 2011.
