Daryl Hall's online music show Live From Daryl's House is returning in 2014 after a year off and ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons will be Daryl's first guest.
Hall and Gibbons, both Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, will collaboration for the 63rd episode of Live From Daryl's House.
"Being in a room with Billy Gibbons is like dipping your toe into the deep wellspring of Texas rock, blues and soul," says Daryl in a statement.
"Playing Live from Daryl's House is a regular, down-to-earth, big bash," said Gibbons about the experience. "Good groovin' to the core."
Daryl Hall and Billy Gibbons will perform seven songs on Live From Daryl's House starting with 'Kiko', Jimmy McGriff's 1963 instrumental.
Hall and Gibbons will play Hall & Oates' 'Bank On Your Love' (from Big Bam Boom) and 'Love You Like A Brother', first released on 1977's 'No Goodbyes'.
They will also dust off four ZZ Top songs for Live From Daryl's House including the classic 'Sharp Dressed Man' and 'La Grange', the cover of Sam & Dave's 'I Thank You' and the Nightcaps 'Thunderbird'.
The 62 previous episodes of Live From Daryl's House have featured a mix of well-known performers like Jason Mraz, Cee Lo Green, Shelby Lynne, Joe Walsh, Booker T and the MGs, Blind Boys of Alabama, Rob Thomas, Train, Smokey Robinson, The Doors' Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek, Toots Hibbert, Nick Lowe, K.T. Tunstall, Todd Rundgren, Keb Mo, Dave Stewart, Goo Goo Dolls' John Rzeznik and Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump along with newcomers such as Minus The Bear, Rumer, Chiddy Bang, Allen Stone, Nikki Jean, The Dirty Heads, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Mayer Hawthorne, Eric Hutchinson, Chromeo, Matt Nathanson, Parachute, Plain White T's, soul diva Sharon Jones, Diane Birch, Fitz & the Tantrums, Neon Trees and Guster.
Billy Gibbons 'Live From Daryl's House' episode will premiere at lfdh.com this Wednesday, January 15. The show will also be broadcast in the USA on Palladia on February 6.
