Daryl Hall will be John Oates-less for his new album, which is his first solo effort in about a dozen years. The solo platter is called Laughing Down Crying and it's due out this Fall via Verve.
I prefer Hall with Oates, but hey, I'll take what I can get. Hall told Billboard.com that the album is "a very aggressive album. It's relatively stripped down. It's got a lot of heart. It deals with a pretty intense emotional landscape, I think, and stylistically I'd call it sort of the box set of my mind. There are elements from the early days of my writing all the way through today." Sounds like it's gonna be amazing.
