Dave Matthews has been taking on the odd part in films and TV over the last thirteen years, including such programs as House and movies as Because of Winn-Dixie and You Don't Mess With Zohan, but he will move into the big time with a leading role next year in the movie Angels.
The film tells the story of a father who is struggling to find a new kidney for his two-year-old daughter. Angels will be directed and written by Meg Tilly, whose acting credits include The Big Chill, Agnes of God and Valmont. She has also authored five books.
According to Showbiz411, who broke the story, filming will begin in March in either upstate New York or Kentucky.
