The 18-year-old Disney star sought treatment for a lifelong eating disorder earlier this year. Making a return to the spotlight at Tuesday's HTC Status Social launch event in Hollywood, she said that she has learned to take everything in her stride.
'I'm more relaxed this time around,' she told Us Weekly. 'I'm not as stressed and freaking out, like 'Do I look okay here?' I'm like, whatever. What you see is what you get and I'm having fun.'
But she did admit that is was 'kind of nerve racking' to be back on the red carpet, having last gone in front of the cameras at press conference for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in October 2010.
Talking about the impact that her decision to seek help for 'emotional and other issues' had had on her fans, she added, 'I get all these tweets that are like, 'Because you shared your story I got help,' or 'I quit cutting,' or 'I got help for my eating disorder,' and that's why I'm in this. That's why I shared my story.
'At the end of the day, if I can help someone and inspire someone, then I'm good.'
