Demi Lovato returns to rehab ? as motivational speaker

The 19-year-old singer-actress visited Timberline Knolls, the Illinois treatment centre she attended a year ago to deal with “physical and emotional issues”.

She tweeted yesterday: 'I went back to the treatment centre I went to last year, to speak to the beautiful women fighting their inner demons.'

She added that she felt “honoured to be able to share my story and let them know that it gets easier” and also admitted “many tears were shed and many memories were brought back” during her “inspiring day”.

Since leaving the US treatment facility, Lovato has been open about her struggles with bulimia, and also bipolar disorder.

The Sonny With A Chance star also encouraged her followers on Twitter to 'say a prayer for all of those struggling with eating disorders, self-harm, mood disorders, and substance abuse'.

Lovato’s pal Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria replied to her tweet, saying how “proud” she is of the young star.
