Destiny's Child are set to reform after taking two years out to work on their solo careers.
Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams are currently in the studio working on a new album planned for November.
Beyonce's father Matthew Knowles, who manages the band, said: "I had the pleasure of listening to their first recording and it was fantastic.
"It's great that they've started on such a positive note. You can really feel the synergy. They're going to be phenomenal."
Knowles adds that it was always part of his plan for the girls to go their own ways. Beyonce has enjoyed a successful solo career, while both Michelle and Kelly have had hit albums.
"Each one of these ladies with their solo careers have been successful so they can bring back all their experiences," he says. "Now the band's got a different sound. It's a secret.
"We have a six or seven-year plan and going their separate ways was always part of that strategy. You can't have a Destiny's Child album every year.
Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles adds: "I'm so glad to see them back together again. When I heard them in the studio, it made me cry because they have grown so much."
