Drake and Nicki Minaj are buddies again after he admitted he "dropped the ball" in their friendship.
The rapper said that although he hasn't spoken to the bright-haired singer since the release of his new album, things are good between them.
The news comes after Drake included lyrics in song Tuscan Leather, from his new album Nothing Was the Same, that alluded to all not being well with him and 30-year-old Nicki.
"Not even talkin' to Nicki, communication is breakin'. I dropped the ball on some personal sh*t, I need to embrace it," he rapped.
But Drake says that's no longer how he feels about his formerly close friend.
He even confessed that it was him who was in the wrong and caused the breakdown of their friendship, though he didn't elaborate on the details.
"That line in Tuscan Leather isn't exactly where I am in my life right now but like a year ago, eight months, seven months ago, it was how I felt. I'd done something wrong and I wasn't speaking to her.
"I think the dialogue actually between us was already opened up. I had already solved that issue. I wrote that a while ago and I kinda felt guilty changing it," Drake told MTV News.
He stayed true to his song, and stood by his choice to include it in his new album.
But although the pair are back on speaking terms, Drake has no idea what Nicki makes of the lyrics.
"I haven't talked to her since it's been out. I'm not sure. I haven't spoke to her.
"It was a sentiment that I had when I started this album and felt like that's how it should be. The album should start one place and end in another," he admitted.
