Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum selling, recording artist Drake today announced that he will be returning to the UK in March 2014 for arena shows in seven cities.
The tour will start in Manchester on the 11th March and visit Sheffield, Glasgow, Nottingham, Birmingham, Liverpool and London with support on all dates from special guest The Weeknd. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 1st November from www.livenation.co.uk
Drake's new album "Nothing Was The Same" – one of the most critically acclaimed and feverishly anticipated new albums of the year – debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and entered the UK album chart at number 2. The album has already been certified Platinum in the US and also features his brand new single "Too Much", due to be released on December 9th.
Following their collaboration on the track "Live For", fellow Canadian The Weeknd will be joining Drake as a special guest on all UK dates. The track – which clocked up over half a million plays on Soundcloud in one day when revealed online earlier this year – is taken from The Weeknd's second full-length album "Kiss Land" which was released to critical acclaim in September.
