Drake hopes his Saturday Night Live performance is 'superior'.
The 24-year-old rapper is performing a musical set on the comedy variety TV series this weekend, and has promised a 'larger-than-life' show.
Drake will perform songs from his upcoming album Take Care, including his newly released Make Me Proud which features Nicki Minaj.
Drake hopes to deliver a show-stopping performance.
"One thing that I do notice is not too many people bring atmosphere change [as ''SNL'' musical guests], so I really pushed to change the station into something different and I think I did a great job of that," he said. "I just hope that visually and sonically, it''s a superior performance,' he explained.
Drake is appearing alongside host Anna Faris. He is delighted at the prospect of featuring on the Emmy Award-winning show.
"It''s crazy places that rap music can take you and doors that can open up off of the things that we''ve worked on all these years," he MTV News after show rehearsals on Thursday in New York.
"It''s so crazy being here today with the same band that I''ve been rolling with - all guys from Toronto. This is crazy, man, this is crazy. It''s an honour for sure."
Plans for the star aren't finalised yet. However, he is hoping to show off his acting skills too.
"I think that I''m gonna be involved in the actual skits," he said.
Drakes second studio album Take Care will be in stores on November 15.
