Following their forthcoming SOLD OUT London show at the Electric Ballroom in May, Dry the River have announced details of their biggest headline show to date at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on Thursday November 1st 2012.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 9am on Monday 20th February via http://www.ticketweb.co.uk and http://www.musicglue.net/drytheriver and will be priced at £12.
The band are set to begin their headline tour in April following the release of their debut album, 'Shallow Bed' on March 5th, preceded by new single 'The Chambers & The Valves' on February 27th.
The 11-track album was produced by Peter Katis (The National / Interpol) at his Connecticut home-studio during the summer of 2011.
Most recently Dry the River have played a sold out Q Now Session at XOYO in London in January, sold out the Scala in London in September of last year and played rapturously received festival gigs on both sides of the Atlantic last summer; highlights being their shows at SXSW in Texas, Reading, Glastonbury, End of the Road and Bestival.
The band were listed as one of 15 acts on the prestigious BBC Sound of 2012 shortlist. For more info: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/soundof/2012/artists/
Dry the River formed in spring 2009 and have lived together in the same shared house in Stratford east London since. Citing an esoteric list of influences - Leonard Cohen, At The Drive-In, Neil Young, Arlo Guthrie, Neutral Milk Hotel, Bruce Springsteen and Devendra Banhart – the band draw as much from their shared love of U.S. hardcore as they do from the classic songwriters they all admire.
Dry The River are: Peter Liddle (vocals / guitar), Matt Taylor (guitar), Scott Miller (bass), Will Harvey (violin) & Jon Warren (drums).
