Ed Sheeran's sophomore LP X has shifted 182,000 copies in its first week, beating Coldplay to become the fastest-selling album of 2014 in the UK.
X, which features the Pharrell-produced, chart-topping lead single 'Sing', has debuted at No 1, knocking Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence off the top spot.
X is now the fastest-selling album of 2014, overtaking previous title holders Coldplay's efforts. Chris Martin and co's sixth album Ghost Stories sold 168,000 copies in its first week when it was released back in May.
