Ellie Goulding will, for the first time in history, hold a digital album signing via a Google+ Hangout to celebrate the launch of her much anticipated second album, Halcyon.
On Monday 8 October, Google+, in partnership with Universal Music, will live stream a Hangout and allow fans from across the globe to skip the queues and meet Ellie Goulding in a virtual face-to-face album signing. Fans will be able to pose questions to the singer songwriter and receive their signed virtual album.
The Hangout marks a change in the way artists interact with their fans and will revolutionise the traditional album signing. Using a tablet, Ellie Goulding will sign digital copies of her album cover which will be posted directly on fans' Google+ pages to serve as a memento of their encounter with the star.
Ellie Goulding's new album, Halcyon, describes a journey out of heartache and towards hope and adventure following a tumultuous two-and-a-half years of highs and lows. She has since reached success with her first album Lights, and enjoyed a star-studded year in which she sang for President Obama at the White House and won a Brit Award.
Fans from across the globe can tune into the Hangout with Ellie Goulding on her Google+ page at 8pm BST Monday 8th October.
