Singer Ellie Goulding doesn't like to get involved in feuds between her fellow pop stars.
The Brit is good friends with musicians Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, and while it's believed the American singers no longer see eye to eye, Ellie lets the rumours go over her head if and when they occur.
"I read a lot of things and just go, 'Ha!' and laugh out loud because it's rarely true," she told People magazine. "I don't get involved, but I'm sure something will come up at some point with a nonexistent feud – I never know what to expect. But you just have to laugh at stuff like that."
Ellie has a laid back approach to most things in life and that helps keep things drama-free. While she is open in interviews and with her fans, she does admit that she keeps a little part of her life under wraps to help keep that balance.
"I feel like I give a lot of myself as a person," she continued. "I don't like going into interviews and being fake. I'm very much myself. I'm very candid and open, which I like to be. But there's still another side of me that people don't (know). There's still a secret side. It's good to have a little private thing that no one knows about."
Maintaining any level of privacy is getting harder as Ellie's star continues to rise with the release of her third album Delirium. The singer will promote the album all over the world and in front of large crowds but there is no chance of her success going to her head.
"The people around me – my friends and even my management – everyone has been with me between four or seven years now," she explained. "Those people would never let me become ungrounded. It just would not happen. If I ever seem like I am at any point, then I'm going straight back on the ground."
