The 24-year-old, who performed at the royal wedding from Prince William and his bride Kate, said that she is happy not to be recognised.
She told Glamour magazine, 'Me and Jessie talk quite a lot - I saw her last night actually. My lifestyle is different. I'm quite private. And I never wanted to be the biggest star in the world really.
'So in that sense I've got a good balance of doing great shows, of making an appearance every now and then and writing music, and I don't really have to do much else. If I became the biggest star in the world, that would be a bonus really. But it's not something I aspire to be. I'm quite happy really.'
But she added that having differing career goals doesn't affect their friendship.
'Me and Jessie J were out last night as friends. No interference from anyone. Nobody bothered us, nobody cared, there were no cameras, and that is how I like things,' she explained. 'I like that Jessie is so down to earth, and I like that we can just go out and talk about things.'
