The 40-year-old Beginners star has been married to his production designer wife Eve Mavrakis for 16 years and they have four daughters together.
The Perth-born actor, who met his wife while filming British TV series Kavanagh QC in 1995, told UK newspaper the Daily Mirror: 'I hit 40 this year, and I've got friends of the same age who haven't found a partner yet.
'I certainly didn't have a checklist for my ideal woman. I was very young when we met and I just fell in love with her. I knew I wanted to be with her, and I still do.'
