June sees the return of BluesFest following the runaway success of last year's event, which saw more than 16,000 music fans attend concerts by some of the biggest names in blues, jazz and soul.
The 10-day celebration of music will increase in size this year, with expansion to Manchester, and the inclusion of even more top acts than before to support it.
The first wave of confirmed headline events include: an evening of music curated by Rolling Stones guitarist, Ronnie Wood, who will be inviting some of his favourite musicians to join him for an exclusive tribute to the legendary Chicago-based blues label Chess Records; Van Morrison, performing a unique concert featuring the music that continues to inspire him; as well as headline slots for the likes of Tom Jones, George Benson, Robert Cray, and actor-turn bluesman, Hugh Laurie.
In addition to being one of BluesFest's featured acts, Ronnie Wood has been commissioned to create the festival's artwork, drawing from his diverse range of artistic talents to create something unique for the event.
Clearly, all of the stops have been pulled out to make this year's event unique and special, and as tickets are already on sale, expect them to sell fast.
BluesFest 2012 takes place in London and Manchester between June 26th and the 6th of July at a series of venues in the capital and its northern counterpart.
