Chad Channing, who drummed for Nirvana before Dave Grohl, has said that he would like to reunite with the remaining members of his old band.
The musician drummed for the band from 1988 to 1990 after the band's relationship with several other drummers fell apart, before being replaced by Dave Grohl for the band's final four years.
Channing contributed to Nirvana's debut album Bleach and also laid down parts for the song 'Polly' on the band's seminal second album Nevermind before he left the band.
In an interview with NME, Channing was asked if he would reunite with the band in the future, to which he replied: "Yeah, if they wanted me. It'd maybe be something like Dave playing guitar and singing and Krist doing bass." He added: "That'd be about the only arrangement I could think of that we could pull off."
Despite originally saying he would be, Channing was not included in Nirvana's induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame earlier this year. "I'm fine about it actually," he said of the 'snub'. "I've always sort of felt that for me, everything's so much more about the music than the accolades."
Channing now fronts the band Before Cars, who have released two EPs and played their first ever UK shows last month.
