The surviving members of Nirvana have spoken out about their recent reunion - discussing the potential of perhaps recording new material without frontman Kurt Cobain.
The grunge icons took to the stage once more last week, performing with the likes of Joan Jett, St Vincent and Kim Gordon during their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, before then playing an epic 19-song set at a secret show with more guests afterwards.
Now, discussing the already legendary reunion with Rolling Stone, bassist Krist Novoselic said that he wouldn't rule out the band recording new material without the late frontman, Kurt Cobain.
"So, was this a one-night-only deal, or might Nirvana surface again at some point in the future? "That’s a good question," he said. “I mean, there’s Foo Fighters and Dave has some other projects going on. And I have some commitments. But you never say never now. We did it. I sure won’t say no. Maybe we can even do some new music one day."
However, drummer Dave Grohl wasn't quite as set on the idea: "We haven’t even talked about it," he said. "We looked at that evening as a night that may never happen again. That’s what made it so powerful and beautiful and meaningful. And it may never happen again, so we made the most of it. And it was fucking great."
