Fountains of Wayne runneth over

They've been making records for at least seven years but Fountains Of Wayne have been nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy award.

The band, who got its name from a store in Wayne, New Jersey named funnily enough, Fountains of Wayne released their first album in October 1996 and 2003's "Welcome Interstate Managers" is their third release.

The National Academy Of Recording Arts & Sciences, distributors of the Grammys defines the nominee for Best New Artist as one ‘who releases, during the eligibility year, the first recording which establishes the public identity of that artist.'
