Rising R&B singer Frank Ocean has announced his first headlining shows. The Odd Future member will perform three coast-to-coast dates in November, with the performances arriving at the close of the hip-hop collective's own fall tour, which kicks off on Tuesday at Seattle's Showbox on the Market. The shows are on sale now.
Up till now, Ocean has been better known for his studio work, which includes this year's self-released "Nostalgia, Ultra" mixtape and high-profile appearances on Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Watch the Throne" and Beyonce's "4." His single "Novacane" peaked on the Hot 100 at No. 82 in July, coming in at No. 6 on the Heatseekers Songs chart a week later.
The singer's plans for a full-length debut have yet to be announced, though the Neptunes' Pharrell Williams revealed to Vibe.com recently that he had contributed to the project.
"We've worked together… his album itself is incredible," Williams said.
