Future has reportedly dropped his lawsuit against Ciara.
The Goodies star, who has a son also named Future with the Jumpman rapper, launched a $15 million (£10.5 million) defamation lawsuit against Future in February (16), accusing him of knowingly making false and defamatory statements about her parenting skills on social media the previous month (Jan16). Ciara and Future parted ways in 2014, and she is now engaged to American football star Russell Wilson.
Future hit back with his own lawsuit and claimed in his filings Ciara's fame has been declining in the past few years and her last album, Jackie, was a flop.
However, website Sandrarose.com are reporting the rapper, real name, Nayvadius Cash, asked the judge to dismiss his case against the Oh singer.
In court documents obtained by the website the countersuit was dismissed "with prejudice" by a Fulton County judge on 13 June (16), meaning that Future can't now sue Ciara again for the same complaint.
Sources close to the 32-year-old rapper claim he wants to calm things down and avoid the possibility of further action by Ciara to restrict his custodial rights to their son, after he was granted joint custody of Future Zahir Wilburn last month (May16).
A Californian judge recently granted the 32-year-old rap artist twice-monthly visitation with his two-year-old son.
Ciara's lawsuit against Future is still active.
