GABRIELLA CILMI joins REM and the Kaiser Chiefs on Sunday October 5th 2009 at the Kallimarmaro Panathinaiko Stadium in Athens, Greece, for a special concert as part of MTV GR DAY.
The concert will be the pinnacle of MTV Music Week, a week long celebration of the launch of the music entertainment channel in Greece on October 1st. The concert marks a very special ambition met for Gabriella, a huge fan of REM.

Gabriella breaks up the tour to attend the Q Awards on October 6th, where she is their youngest ever nominee, in the category of Breakthrough Act, and to fly to Sydney for a performance at the Australian Brits, the ARIAs, where she tops the nominee list with a record breaking six nominations. She performs on Europe's biggest TV show, Wetten-Das, which is watched by over 15 million people before resuming her UK tour.
At the end of the tour, Gabriella releases a brand new single, 'Sanctuary', on Island Records on 10th November 2008. At her smoky best, 'Sanctuary' is taken from 'Lessons To Be Learned'.
On November 10th 2008, Island Records release a special edition of 'Lessons To Be Learned'. Already the fourth highest selling debut album of the year, the special edition will feature an acoustic cover version of Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me A River', a song which has become a tour staple for Gabriella, her version of 'Echo Beach', an acoustic version of 'Sweet About Me' and two brand new tracks, big vocals and teen attitude in 'Round & Round' and the seasonal special 'Warm This Winter'.
In January 09, Gabriella's US label, Universal Republic launch her in the States, with a debut performance to end all, live at the Carnegie Hall, the New York venue which has staged music legends like Billie Holliday, Nina Simone and Judy Garland in the past.
Gabriella is currently the voice of ITV2's Autumn season, appearing in their TV campaign alongside Fearne Cotton, Coleen Rooney and Jack Osborne.
