Gavin Rossdale loves touring with his son.
The former Bush star has taken three-year-old Kingston - his eldest child with wife Gwen Stefani - out on the road with him and admits it has brought them closer together.
He said: "It's been a really good bonding experience. He's so natural, so easy.
"Sometimes we'll go to museums of modern art so he can see a big splash of colour on the walls. I found a way to kill some time in New York by asking him to look out the window and tell me every time he saw a yellow taxi. He was so into it. We had a really good time."
Gavin insists taking Kingston on tour is good for his son as it teaches him the values of work.
He explained: "He sees that it's a lot of effort and a lot of work too. My own father was working all the time, from eight in the morning until eight at night, five, six days a week. Kingston sees that if you want to get something done, you have to work."
The 43-year-old star - who also has nine-month-old son Zuma, with Gwen - also believes touring is beneficial to his whole family.
He added to People magazine: "I love playing shows. It makes for a dynamic life. If Bob Marley could have a wicked home life and 14 children and then go out and play, why can't I?
"For anyone who has kids, you bring them along in your life and they adapt to where you're at. You keep them fed and rested and pay lots of attention to them and they're fine."
