GEORGE MICHAEL has slammed reports that he and long-term partner Kenny Goss had split up.
The singer insisted the couple were still together and are only apart at the moment because Goss is in Dallas preparing an exhibition.
Reports this week said Michael, 46, had split from Goss back in December, after the art gallery owner grew tired of the former Wham! star's brushes with police for drug use and promiscuous behaviour.
According to a story in The Mirror newspaper, Goss walked out on the relationship several weeks after the singer was arrested in a men's toilet block on London's Hampstead Heath.
But a spokesperson for Michael said today: "There is no truth in the matter at all. Kenny has been away in Dallas where he owns a gallery but is scheduled to return home this Friday. They are planning a lovely weekend together."
