Overview
George Michael will not be applying for bail for his eight week prison sentence that was handed down recently.
Lawyers for the singer had planned on making the application, but have withdrawn it with no comment as to why.
Michael recently crashed his car into a shop in London and tested positive for marijuana use. He was sentenced to eight weeks prison.
The singer has sold millions of albums both as a solo artist and as half of the 80s pop group Wham!. In 2008 he was cautioned by police for possession of drugs and he promised to pull himself together.
