GEORGE MICHAEL has denied that he was under the influence of drink or drugs when he was arrested following a car crash.
The singer was held by police after his £80,000 silver Land Rover hit an articulated lorry on the M4 in Berkshire in the early hours of Friday.
He was questioned on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs, but released without charge a few hours later.
And the 46-year-old has said he was "stone cold sober".
In a statement, the former Wham! star said: "Neither of us was charged because we were both stone cold sober. We both think the other is to blame so this is just an insurance fight.
"I don't want my fans or my family worried by what they are reading all over again."
