Welsh hip hop crew Goldie Lookin Chain return with their latest album, Asbo4Life, on 6th April. The album will be preceded with a single, By Any Means Necessary, on 16th March.
The group will head out on a full UK tour in March in support of the album, but are set to play an unusual warm-up gig at Metro in London on 14th January. The show will be free to get into, but fans will be asked to cough up some cash if they want to leave at the end.
Asked what inspired the new album, the group's main writer, producer and mixer, Rhys Hutchings, aka P Xain, told CMU: "Mainly curry, weed and the constant wish it was summer, especially during summer."
His hopes for the new single were similarly low-key. Asked about his ambitions for it, he said: "I would like to get the single, By Any Means Necessary, played in all the night clubs on the coast of Spain. If we could get it to be played in Fuengirola I would be well happy."
And how about some advice for anyone thinking of buying some Goldie Lookin Chain music? "Make sure your parents don't know about it. No matter how old you are, they won't approve".
