This summer 'The James Cleaver Quintet' staged the world's first mobile gig, covering Feeder's 'Buck Rogers' whilst wheeling down a very steep hill.
The advert for Lucozade Energy caught the eye of Welsh comedy rappers Goldie Lookin' Chain who thought they could go one better and have released their own 'rap and roll' version of the advert.
Timed to coincide with the release of their latest album, GLC frontmen and BBC Wales presenters Eggsy and Rhys can be seen undertaking a dazzling array of skateboard, BMX and roller skating stunts in 'Lucozade Extreme' at http://tinyurl.com/6e9ao6q.
"We saw the ad and were inspired to dig out our old skates and skateboards and hit the streets of Newport," said Eggsy. "As you can see, we do all our own stunts away from the gaze of the St John's Ambulance and I think our version takes the advert to a whole new level."
Goldie Lookin Chain's 'Lucozade Extreme' also features a new lyrical take on 'Buck Rogers'. "Feeder are a Newport band too, so I don't think they'll mind," said Eggsy.
Tinie Tempah and DJ Fresh both had hit singles off the back of Lucozade adverts this year, so you might be hearing more 'rap and roll' in the coming weeks.
