Gwen Stefani and ex-husband Gavin Rossdale reportedly had a meeting about her new boyfriend Blake Shelton.
The No Doubt singer started dating her The Voice co-mentor in 2015, not long after her divorce to Gavin was finalised.
Gwen and Gavin have sons Kingston, 10 on Thursday (26May16), Zuma, seven, and two-year-old Apollo, and her romance with Blake means the country star often spends time with the boys. According to sources, Gavin and Gwen had an "emotional" chat recently to talk about Blake's blossoming relationship with his children.
"Gwen had a meeting with Gavin to discuss her relationship with Blake and how it will affect the children going forward," an insider told Us Weekly magazine.
"(Gavin) wants to be consulted on everything concerning the kids and the role that Blake is playing in their lives."
While Blake, who also went through a divorce in 2015 to fellow singer Miranda Lambert, is happy to be a part of Gwen's boys' life, he doesn't have anything to do with Gavin.
Gwen and Gavin called time on their marriage last summer (15) after reports surfaced that the Bush frontman had been unfaithful with the couple's nanny.
"(Blake) has nothing to do with Gavin," the insider said. "He can't forgive someone who treated his lady that way."
Blake stopped by Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show on Tuesday (24may16), where the late night host treated the musician to his first ever sushi meal. Despite taking a disliking to the texture of raw fish, Blake enjoyed the experience, helped down with plenty of sake (rice wine).
"The texture is Play Dough, but I will say this to you right now, man to man, I liked that," Shelton smiled. "I liked how that tasted."
