Written and recorded over the past two years, 'Ordinary Heroes' is being regarded as Jones's best album for 20 years. To launch the album, the track "Love Never Wasted' will be available as a free download from Jones's website www.howardjones.com but also from many other sites including P2P sites. The album celebrates the heroism of people in everyday life, features a string quartet on every track and focuses on Jones as a songwriter.
The first single will be 'Soon You'll Go' which is the most moving track Jones has ever recorded. The single features the Morriston Orpheus Choir who will be performing with Howard at St David's Hall in Cardiff on 13th November. Two other dates The IndigO2 in London on 6th November and The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on 12th November will also launch the album.
A special limited edition version of the album can be pre-ordered now from www.howardjones.com. This special edition will contain a second CD containing stripped down acoustic mixes of all the songs and a completely different version of 'Love Never Wasted' as well as a new track 'You're Heart Has One'. This special edition will also include the name of the person who placed the pre-order printed in the album notes and Howard will hand-write a personal dedication, specified by the purchaser, on the packaging. As far as we know this is the first time this has ever been done.
