This November, Aloft London Excel has teamed up with Irish folk-pop duo Hudson Taylor for the Live at Aloft Hotels – Spotlight Series.
As part of the brand's global music programme Live at Aloft Hotels – Spotlight Series, each Aloft Hotel in Europe, Africa and the Middle East is inviting a local, up-and-coming artist to create music-inspired experiences for guests, fans and visitors over the course of a month. Experiences range from interactive workshop sessions, on-location artwork creations and stripped-down live performances.
For their residency, Hudson Taylor will kick off with an exclusive acoustic set on the 4th November, followed by a guitar tutorial workshop on the 12th. The residency will culminate in a secret fan gig on the 27th November.
Formed in Dublin in 2011, Hudson Taylor consists of brothers Alfie and Harry Hudson-Taylor. Their much anticipated debut album 'Singing for Strangers' is due for release in February 2015 and promises to be peppered with characters and experiences plucked straight from the mist-swept streets of suburban Dublin. The band has recently supported Jake Bugg on his UK tour and released their new single 'Chasing Rubies' on 19th October.
"We're really looking forward to our month long residency at Aloft London Excel" said Alfie, one half of Hudson Taylor. "It's going to be amazing to get our fans involved in the intimate gigs and guitar workshop. We can't wait!"
"We are thrilled to have Hudson Taylor on board for the Aloft London Excel Live at Aloft Hotels – Spotlight Series," said Martijn Mulder, Hotel Manager at Aloft London Excel. "We'll be sharing their excitement as Hudson Taylor embark on the first major steps towards their hopefully long and fruitful career."
