Hugh Jackman has revealed that Steven Spielberg came up with the idea of using real robots in Real Steel.
Spielberg took an executive producer credit for the film, which sees robots replace humans in the boxing ring.
Jackman told ET: "[Steven] found with Jurassic Park that the more real elements you can have, the better it is. It turned me into an 11-year-old when I first saw them."
The Australian star also had warm words to say about Sugar Ray Leonard, saying: "He gave me way more than I could've imagined. He taught me about what the life of a boxer is like."
Real Steel is released on October 7.
