Janet Jackson becomes new face of Nutri System

The 45-year-old pop singer is promoting the home delivery meal plan in an ad that is appearing in US magazines.

Jackson looks trim, pictured in stonewashed slim fitting jeans and a matching V-neck T-shirt.

In a quote she says: “If you really want to lose weight and learn how to keep it off, you need a plan that’s easy, that works for you, and that fits into your life.”

The ad urges dieters to: “Get on it'.

It says: “Janet Jackson got on Nutri System Success and you can get on it too!”

The singer has publicly battled with her weight but recently seems to have maintained her slim figure.

Earlier this year she published a book called True You in which she opens up about her lifelong attempts to lose weight.

Speaking about the content of the book she has said: “For more than three decades I’ve struggled with yo-yo dieting.

“Even at my thinnest, when my body was being praised, I wasn’t happy with what I saw or how I felt about myself.”
