It hasn't been a great week for Janet Jackson.
The singer's tour rider was recently leaked stating that she does not put up with any jokes about her family being told by any comedians that might be booked to open her shows. "Purchaser ensures that comedian will not make any reference to Janet Jackson or the Jackson family."
Beyond that, her demands are not that outrageous compared to other popular artists. Just things like scented candles, peanut butter, fresh fruit and white tulips.
Meanwhile, Jackson has been named Grinch of the Year by PETA based on their feeling that she exploited the well-being of animals the most over the past year.
Jackson released a new line of fur clothing accessories in November in conjunction with the company Blackglamma.
PETA spokesman Wendy Wegner stated:
When Janet Jackson had her infamous wardrobe malfunction during Super Bowl XXXVIII, at least what popped into view of 170 million onlookers belonged to her, unlike the animal skins she drapes herself in, which are as dead as her fashion taste and her career.
Jackson responded in a public letter stating that her clothing line was of minimal concern when compared to issues like "women being maimed", sweatshops or other women's rights causes.
