Janet Jackson has paid tribute to her former Diff'rent Strokes co-star Gary Coleman, who died on Friday at the age of 42.
In a statement, Janet said, "I want to remember him as the fun, playful, adorable and affectionate man he was. He has left a lasting legacy. I know he is finally at peace."
Janet Jackson had her first real job on Diff'rent Strokes, playing Charlene, Willis' girlfriend.
Willis was played by Todd Bridges who said of Coleman's passing "It's a sad day. It's sad that I'm the last kid alive from the show."
Coleman died from a brain hemorrhage after falling at his home last Wednesday.
