After two Top 10 albums and over 2.3 million singles sales in the UK alone, multi-platinum recording artist Jason Derulo is gearing up for his comeback with the release of his brand new single 'The Other Side' which will be released on June 16th. The single will receive its worldwide premiere on April 16th when Ryan Seacrest will play it on his syndicated radio show in the States.
Produced by Ammo (Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Leona Lewis), 'The Other Side' will be followed by the release of Jason Derulo's third studio album which will be released later this summer.
Following a tumultuous 2012, Jason Derulo is gearing up for his comeback while looking and feeling better than ever. Back in January 2012, Derulo suffered a catastrophic neck injury while rehearsing for a world tour to support his second album 'Future History'. In an exclusive interview with Men's Health, he reveals that the "emotionally draining" accident that nearly paralyzed him gave him a greater appreciation for life and his career. "That one experience helped me to grow up in a second," he says. "I was on autopilot. I was going around the world. I was performing. I was just literally going through the motions... When that kind of thing is taken away from you, you realise how much you appreciate what you love doing and who you love."
After five months of grueling physical therapy for his "hang man's break" and penning songs for his upcoming album, Jason defiantly celebrated his return to the stage on 'American Idol' with his cathartic anthem 'Undefeated'. "I spent a year working on this album, and it's become my best work thus far by far," he says of the untitled project. "I wanted to make a record that I wanted to listen to all the time," he says. "Not just this year, not just next year, but for a long time."
Jason Derulo's next live show will come when he takes to the stage at KISS FM's annual Wango Tango concert on May 11th at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Britney Spears, the show will also feature performances from Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, will.i.am and Icona Pop and many more.
