The Don’t Wanna Go Home singer, who has just flown back to America after a short promo tour Down Under, was expected to hook up with the swimwear model in Oz.
But Bingle was pictured at an exclusive resort in Bora Bora, Tahiti, with English rugby hunk, Danny Cipriani.
The 26-year-old, who is best known for appearing in a 2006 Tourism Australia ad campaign, also gushed about her love for Cipriani in a recent magazine interview.
Asked about Bingle during an interview on a radio show, the R&B star said: “The hearts were not in line, something was rotten in the cotton.
“She was someone who was very dear to my heart.
“Was.”
Derulo first got together with Bingle last November when he was in Australia for an awards ceremony.
