Jason Derulo is excited for people to hear the "element of growth" on his new album.
The 25-year-old singer released his record Talk Dirty on April 15 in the US. And speaking about how the sound differs from his other offerings, Jason revealed it's definitely a more mature sound.
"I feel like it's my best work thus far, and I'm excited to share it," Jason told PerezHilton.com at the STAR Magazine's Hollywood Rocks event earlier this week. "I've been working on it for the past eight months and I'm excited to get it out there to the people.
"I think the biggest difference with this album is the element of growth. I really feel like I've grown up in the past eight months. A lot has happened in my life and experiences just force you to grow up. I feel like I've grown more in the past eight months than in the whole of the rest of my life."
As well as his musical skills, Jason can also be seen as a judge on the upcoming new season of So You Think You Can Dance alongside Paula Abdul and Nigel Lythgoe.
While filming has only just begun on the season, Jason said he is enjoying every minute so far.
"It's been a hell of a ride," he said. "I'm just more excited than anything. So you think is awesome. We've shot some auditions thus far and we have some of the most amazing people in America and I feel like I've learned a lot from the show already."
