Jamiroquai's frontman has pleaded guilty to driving over the speed limit in Scotland.
Jay Kay didn't attend the hearing in Perth. Kay faces losing his license for the speeding incident. In a letter to the court, he explained why he overtook a string of cars on a road in February, exceeding the 70 miles-per-hour speed limit.
Police officers recorded that his four-wheel drive vehicle was traveling at 105 mile-per-hour. Kay said he'd become stuck behind slow moving traffic on the single-lane road and -- quote -- "wanted to make the most of this overtaking opportunity."
Authorities have ordered Kay to appear before the court in person for sentencing on September 6th.document.write(unescape("
