Getting Jay-Z and Dr. Dre to guest on your track is hard enough. Getting both to appear in your music video? Good luck.
If anyone can do it, the Bawse can. "We haven't discussed it yet, but I'm pretty sure we may be able to pull that off," Rick Ross told on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., of the plans for his "3 Kings" video.
On Thursday, Rozay dropped the highly anticipated God Forgives, I Don't track to much fanfare. The Jake One-produced "3 Kings" finds Dre, Ross and Hov chronicling their come-up from have-nots to certified hip-hop crown-holders. While each MC shines brightly, it's Jay who steals the show with a free-associative, song-closing verse on which he shouts out his daughter Blue Ivy and brags of a potential $275 million deal with concert giant Live Nation.
"I feel it's the biggest collaboration in hip-hop. Not just this year, maybe previous years," Ross said."We cooked up a masterpiece. This is a big joint right here."
If anyone can pull off the all-star video, it's Rozay. He recently developed a good working relationship with Dre at the beginning of the year, and as far as his friendship with Hov, that's already solidified. "Jay-Z, that's my big homey, man, and from day one, anything I've ever asked O.G. for he always came through for me, so it's vice-versa," he said. "He got a gangsta right here for life."
