Rap titan Jay-Z and pop maestro Robbie Williams are the latest major league music names to be unveiled as performers at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards, the news was announced today by MTV International (MTVNI), owned by Viacom Inc (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B).
The MTV Europe Music Awards will be broadcast live from the 02 World, Berlin on Thursday 5 November at 9pm CET and are sponsored by Sony Ericsson, MTV Games / Harmonix's The Beatles™: Rock Band™ and Dell.
Celebrity presenters also revealed include Sports Illustrated model and actress Bar Refaeli, WWE superstar Batista, former world #1 and Olympic Gold medal-winning tennis player Boris Becker, Brody Jenner from MTV's The Hills and Bromance and US pop boy band Jonas Brothers.
British soul singer-songwriter, Joss Stone will be presenting an award and making her hosting debut on 2009 EMA: Red Carpet Show, which will see her interviewing artists as they arrive for the glittering event. 2009 EMA: Red Carpet Show will be available via www.mtvema.com on Thursday 5 November from 8-9pm CET.
Jay-Z, Robbie Williams, Bar Refaeli, Batista, Boris Becker, Brody Jenner, Jonas Brothers and Joss Stone will join already announced EMA artists including Awards host Katy Perry, performers Foo Fighters, Green Day, Leona Lewis, Shakira and Tokio Hotel, 2009 EMA: All Access online host, Pete Wentz and presenters Asia Argento, Backstreet Boys, Jean Reno, Juliette Lewis and Miranda Cosgrove at the event. More performers and presenters will be announced shortly.
