Beyonce was convinced to headline this year's Glastonbury festival after watching her husband Jay-Z in the same slot three years ago, organiser Michael Eavis has said.
The rapper topped the bill in 2008, despite famously being deemed an inappropriate booking by then Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher.
When asked whether Jay-Z might join his wife on stage, Eavis told the Belfast Telegraph: "Wouldn't it be nice?
“When he came before it was an absolutely fantastic success and in a way that's what persuaded Beyonce to come and do it. She was here before, saw the amazing response from the crowd."
Eavis added that Beyonce and Jay-Z were expected to stay all weekend at the festival due to their close friendship with fellow headliners, Coldplay and U2.
