Jay-Z thinks humility is one of his greatest strengths.
The 43-year-old rapper answered fans' questions directly during a "#factonly" Q&A session via Twitter on Monday.
Jay-Z, real name Sean Carter, came from humble beginnings in New York City projects and he is now a Roc Nation music mogul with an estimated net worth of $500 million. The musician-and-entrepreneur sold over 50 million records in the past and he is also enjoying a rich family life with gorgeous singer Beyoncé Knowles, with whom he shares daughter Blue Ivy.
Jay-Z released his 12th studio album Magna Carta… Holy Grail on July 4 and credits his immense success to being humble.
"RT @ianmcfrazer I think Jay-Z's greatest strength is his humility.[Wrong it's my genius. Wait, did I not get the sarcasm?]" the rapper responded to his fan's tweet.
Jay-Z has been celebrated for his innovative approach to business.
He tells fans that tapping into unknown territory professionally can reap major benefits.
"unlearn anything they ever taught you. They know not what they speak (sic)," Jay-Z replied to tweeter @ghostdadon's question. "What are the #newrules for indie artist?"
The rapper is on his way to becoming a billionaire.
However Jay-Z jokes that his maths skills leave something to be desired.
"ahh so im not so good at math afterall (sic)," he wrote.
At the end of June Jay-Z gave Samsung Galaxy Smartphone users in America access to Magna Carta… Holy Grail for free. One million customers were able to download an application on to gain access to the record. It is rumoured Jay-Z cut a $20 million deal with Samsung for this unprecedented digital release.
